Perplexity PDF Exporter lets you export your own Perplexity threads as PDF, Markdown, JSON, or HTML files. File generation happens in your browser, and exports are downloaded directly to your device. The extension is designed for personal backup and research workflows.
The thread content you choose to export (questions, answers, sources) is processed in your browser and downloaded to your device — it is never uploaded to our servers.
To sign you in, enforce daily/device limits, and unlock paid features, our server receives your email address, a randomly generated device ID and session token, your export counts, any support messages you send us, and basic technical diagnostics (extension version, non-content error signals) needed to keep exports working after Perplexity updates.
For premium features, the extension verifies your subscription with our server using the identifiers described above (device ID, session token).
All executable logic ships inside the extension — no remote code is ever loaded or executed.
We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties, and the extension carries no advertising or analytics trackers. Your exported thread content is yours alone — it never passes through our infrastructure.
